I treat adults aged 18 and older with the following types of concerns:
Other psychological concerns for which a short-term trajectory of approximately 8–10 sessions may be suitable, for example issues that would normally require longer treatment but where you have previously been successfully treated and are now experiencing some relapse.
During the intake, we will determine together whether a short-term treatment trajectory within primary mental healthcare (Basis GGZ) is appropriate. We build on previous results and experiences so that we can work in a focused way toward recovery and improvement in your daily life.
When I Cannot Offer Treatment
In some situations, longer-term or multidisciplinary treatment is necessary, which means a trajectory with my practice may not be appropriate. This may be the case, for example, in the presence of an active Psychosis or a Mania episode.
For complaints that involve serious risks, such as active Suicidal Ideation or eating problems with acute physical risks, I ask your referring physician to contact me before your registration. Together we can determine whether appropriate support and crisis care outside office hours are available. Only if this support is in place can the treatment trajectory take place safely and effectively.
